Our Colorful and Vintage Christmas 2024 Home Tour

According to my husband, decorating for Christmas is ‘my Super Bowl.’ He’s not wrong. I looooooove decorating for Christmas, and I think this year is my favorite year yet.

After our kitchen renovation earlier this year, I couldn’t wait to add Christmas touches to another space.

Colorful Christmas Decor

All Christmas decor is beautiful, but I’m personally a fan of colorful Christmas. Throw in pinks and blues along with the traditional red and green, and your home can be filled with instant personality - the more the merrier, as they say. Some favorite places of mine to find more colorful pieces are Home Goods, World Market, and Anthropologie.

Vintage Christmas

I also like to throw in a healthy does of nostalgia to my Christmas set-up. I live in an old home, so vintage Christmas decor feels right at home. Vintage decorations tend to be more quirky and colorful, which works with my personal sense of style and home decor anyways. I love that vintage decorations add an extra layer of coziness to a room.

I have some reproduction pieces (Shiny Brite Ornaments are my fave!), but I also have some true vintage pieces. Shopping for vintage blow molds is a yearly quest I take on.

Take a look at our holiday home tour in the pictures below! I loved finally getting to decorate our kitchen open shelving and can’t wait to add to them each year. This year, we added a new flocked Christmas tree filled with only Shiny Brite ornaments and some fun Hester & Cook table setting decor. I think this year is our best holiday home yet, but I already can’t wait for some new ideas for 2025!
